Candidacy Process
The candidacy process is a formalized – yet personally and relationally focused – journey that assists people in discernment for church leadership, whether they ultimately become rostered or serve in lay roles within the church. The intentional process includes several steps worked in coordination with a number of ministry partners.
Specifically, the Northwest Intermountain Synod Candidacy Committee seeks to walk alongside candidates with a spirit of joy and support. If you are wondering and considering the ways in which God might be inviting you to utilize your gifts, we would encourage you to contact the synod office; make use of the ELCA resources concerning vocation and candidacy; and taking time to read Called to Lead.
For more information, please contact the synod office at 509-838-9871, office@nwimsynod.org, or Rev. Mark Nelson (mnelson@st-mark’s.org) or Ms. Cory English (goatquilt@gmail.com)
