Fall Convocation

The Bishop’s Fall Convocation is for all rostered leaders. It will be held in Lewiston, ID on October 12-14. This year’s theme is β€œBaptized in Muddy Water.” Our presenter will be Rev. Leila Ortiz.

Wildfire Relief - Where might you send ...

We know we are in for a long wildfire season. In consultation with Ray Shjerven, our Washington State VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) liaison, we as a synod staff are lifting up the organizations, who could receive your donations.

SHARE is an acronym for Synodical Help and Response Endowment

Share fund

The SHARE Fund of the Northwest Intermountain Synod provides additional resources to help congregations and other outreach ministries during time of change and/or development and to provide for the spiritual and emotional support of those on the roster in our synod.

The 2025 SHARE grant application deadline is March 3, 2025 and is available here.

Please note:

  • SHARE grants will not fund ordinary expenses for ministry

  • Congregations must include a copy of their 2024 Congregational report Form A (parochial report)

  • Funds are disbursed to the congregation/ministry organization and not to individuals

  • Applicants who are awarded grants will be required to submit a report on how funds were used.

Updated Misconduct Policy

One of the important pieces of work approved at the January 2024 Northwest Intermountain Synod Council meeting was an updated Misconduct Policy. God intends for the Church to be a safe place for all people to experience God’s love and mercy, grow in faith, and equip themselves for ministry in the world. And yet at times the church has not been a safe place and sexual misconduct has caused injury and pain to individuals and communities.
