Dear People of the Northwest Intermountain Synod,
The 2026 Northwest Intermountain Synod Assembly is just around the corner, and I am looking forward to our time together April 24-26, 2026 at Kennewick First Lutheran Church. This year’s theme, “Peace at the Now,” seems to grow ever more pertinent. The Assembly Planning team, NWIM Synod staff, leaders at Kennewick First, and so many others have been deep in preparations, and I am getting more excited for Assembly as it comes into more focus as the planning solidifies.
With just over 5 weeks to go before Assembly begins, there are a few things I would like to highlight:
Registration is still open! And it will remain open through the end of March, closing on March 31. The cost for registration has increased to $200. Remember, registration price does not include housing this year.
Updated schedule! There have been some slight changes to the schedule. Please click here for the most up-to-date schedule for our time together.
The pre-assembly information package with nomination/election information, resolutions/ memorials that were submitted ahead of time, as well as other pertinent information about Assembly will be sent to registrants no later than March 25. All that information will also be posted on our website.
Here are some important dates to keep in front of you:
March 31 – Registration closes
April 11 @ 9:00am Pacific/10:00am Mountain Time -- Budget Information Session
April 16, 18, and 20 – Assembly Orientation (plan to attend one)
April 18 – Resolutions/memorials Information Sessions
I look forward to welcoming many of you to the Assembly next month. It will be a time of connecting and learning, of worship and fellowship, and most importantly, of grounding ourselves in the peace and promises offered to us by God.
